Kuih Cara Berlauk



An exquisite and rarer type of malay cookies. Cara has two types - the sweet and savoury version. This is the savoury version where savoury garnishes is used (condiments such as meat and chillies is part of the cookie).

Kuih Karipap



Karipap is a very famous filling snack taken in the morning or for afternoon tea. Similar concept to a samosa but different on its flour texture - this delicious curry puff has meat and potatoes as part of interior.

Kuih Baulu Kemboja



One of the rare occasions where the Malay cookies are baked instead of steamed. This is a delicious sweet pandan leaves based cake. Same as Kuih Bakar except that it is made smaller version.

Kuih Lapis


Literally means 'the layered cake' - is a painstakingly cooked layer of cornflour mixed with coconut milk. Commonly with two colours (white and red) each layer is cooked and waited upon before the next layer with a different colour is poured and waited to cook.

Onde- Onde

Onde onde is a faster to prepare and very much a simpler version of the Kuih Koce, without the banana leaf wrappings and coconut in brown sugar filling. Still with a plain brown sugar filling, bite into one of these and let the oozing brown sugar fill your mouth, definitely a must.

Kuih Kole Kacang

Grounded green bean peanuts (smaller than the usual green peas) are mixed with sweet pandan and coconut milk and steamed.

Kuih Bingka Ubi

Bingka ubi is one of the very few baked traditional Malay delicacy. It lets you savour the entire baked tapioca which gives you a toffee like taste with that soft delicate crunchiness. Super in taste.

Talam Tepung Pandan


Steamed layer of pandan leaves and coconut milk. A deliciously light and smooth version of the Seri Muka minus the sticky rice.

Kuih Talam Cendul


Talam cendul is another variant of the ‘Kuih Talam’ – where the coconut milk layer is contrasted with the layer of ‘cendul’. which is a green starch noodle-like dessert popularised by the Indian roadside dessert sellers. Another heavenly creation.

Talam Ubi

Steamed layer of Tapioca mix with brown sugar and coconut milk. The contrasting mix of tapioca in brown sugar and coconut milk leaves the toffee like aftertaste.

Kuih Talam Keladi
